Ideas Incubator “Evangelos Grigoroudis”
Academic innovation actions within the framework of the operation of the Innovation Business Observatory (IBO) of the Region of Crete for 2025–2026
Within the framework of the project “Academic innovation actions within the operation of the Innovation Business Observatory (IBO) of the Region of Crete for 2025–2026”, implemented by the Region of Crete in collaboration with the Technical University of Crete, the University of Crete, the Hellenic Mediterranean University, and the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), the “Ideas Incubator ‘Evangelos Grigoroudis’” is announced.
The action is addressed to undergraduate and postgraduate/doctoral students or research teams from the above Institutions, who are invited to implement an innovative idea that could, with appropriate support, be developed into a prototype product or service.
The selected teams will have at their disposal the amount of €3,000 (including VAT) to cover any expenses required for the development of the prototype (small equipment, consumables, etc.), as well as any travel or promotional expenses related to the prototypes. In addition, the material and technical infrastructure of each Institution may also be utilized.

A total of 12 proposals will be selected, which must be implemented during the period March 2026 – February 2027.
