The Science and Technology Park of Crete (STEP-C) was founded in 1993 by the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), one of the largest research organizations in the country, located in Heraklion, Crete.

SAT (Self-Assessment Tool) is a self-assessment system based on a structured close ended questionnaire. It was developed during the implementation of the research project SMEInnoboost (Interreg Balkan-Med), with the goal of evaluating innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
