On 24 and 25 May 2023 the action “EUSAIR POPRI youth-EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region – EUSAIR” was organised in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, through which groups of students were given the opportunity to take part in a European entrepreneurship competition by presenting their ideas.
The participating countries were Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, San Marino, Serbia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia, and together with the Greek participation, they presented their ideas to the competition’s jury members and the local media.
STEP-C represented Greece in the competition with the participation of a group of students from Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU), Sotiris Kalaitzakis, Ioannis Meramveliotakis and Andrianna Bouranta, who presented their idea “Ambu Squeeze”. The “Ambu Squeeze”, which was supported and funded by the Ideas Incubator, concerns a device for the automated ambu bag used to administer oxygen to people who need emergency respiratory support, replacing the human hand of nurses and rescuers.
