Excellent news for Code BGP, FORTH’s technology incubator, which is located at the STEP-C and was acquired by Cisco.
According to the issued announcement, CodeBGP’s technology will be integrated into Cisco’s ThousandEyes web analytics software in order to expand its services and create a better and safer Internet.
Code BGP was launched two years ago to help automate the processes that network administrators perform on BGP every day to increase control over their networks and achieve lower operating costs and greater security, initially for their network and, by extension, for the Internet itself. The company, which is a spin-off of the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH), raised a $1.5 million funding round in June 2021 from Marathon Venture Capital.
