GreenSET Consortium Holds Successful Steering Committee Meeting in Nice

Published December 02, 2025

The GreenSET consortium successfully concluded its Second Steering Committee Meeting (SCOM2), held in Nice, France, from 4 to 6 November. The meeting brought together representatives from all project partners to review progress and align upcoming steps in the development of the MED Sustainable Service Innovation Methodology (MEDSSIM). Discussions focused on key work packages, the advancement of methodological tools, and preparations for the next stages of implementation.

Partners confirmed strong progress on the development of the MEDSSIM Competence Pack and Implementation Toolbox, which are on track for completion ahead of the first pilot activities planned for February 2026. The consortium also agreed on the structure and timeline of the MEDSSIM course for experts from business support organisations – technology parks, regional development agencies, innovation hubs, etc. The course will combine online learning, case examples, and practical pilot-based application to ensure meaningful skill acquisition.

The meeting further addressed the design of the open call for SMEs that will participate in the first round of pilots. Partners aligned eligibility criteria, evaluation procedures, and the integration of circular economy aspects within the call. Updates were also shared on the creation of the MEDSSIM certification scheme, which will use a peer-to-peer assessment approach and support the long-term adoption of the methodology beyond the project.

In addition, partners reviewed project management and communication matters. The approved communication strategy and key performance indicators were also presented, and the consortium agreed to move forward with producing the project’s first animated video. The next Steering Committee Meeting (SCOM3) is scheduled to take place in Heraklion, Crete, in spring 2026.
