The Regional Innovation Pole of Crete developed a range of activities aimed at enhancing technological – innovative performance regionally, as well as the dissemination of new technology and innovation in all areas of economic and social activity in Crete.
It is one of the five Regional Innovation Poles (PPCs) operating in Greece. The other four cover the regions of Thessaly, Central Macedonia, Western Macedonia and Western Greece.
The Innovation Pole of Crete focused its activities on the following scientific / technological areas, where Crete has a comparative advantage due to the remarkable performance of the research community.
